Annapolis Landing proudly boasts a gated 62 slip marina available to our homeowners.
The first marina section was built in 1984 and the second in 1985
and collectively include a boat ramp as well as 7 transient slips.
Slips are owned by the community and leased to boat owners by the Annapolis Landing Marina Committee (ALMC). A slip lease is purchased by the lease holder and sold back to the ALMC when the lease is relinquished for the purchase price plus an increment based upon the consumer price index, with that amount becoming the price to the next lease holder. The current lease price is $5,200. There is an annual assessment each April for the operating budget, currently $500 per slip. Special assessments may be incurred for unusual expenses. For more details please refer to the Annapolis Landing Marina Slip Lease Agreement along with Schedule A, Rules and Regulations Governing Annapolis Landing Marina.
There is a waiting list for a slip. Any Annapolis Landing homeowner can apply, with applicants listed in the order received; a vacated slip is offered to the person on the top of the list. The waiting list is usually between fifty and sixty people long and the length of wait varies. At present, the expected wait is five to six years. Transient slips are available for durations of up to 72 hours. Longer stays are permitted with ALHA Board approval.
Also located at the marina is a bathhouse with restrooms for residents as well as Dinghy Racks, housing canoes and small boats. Dinghy rack use requires a deposit of $150 (which is also returned when no longer being used). The marina area has a fire pit where social events, like our annual "Sock Burning" to welcome Spring, are sometimes held.
The marina committee is comprised of a small group of homeowners that
graciously volunteer to maintain it.
To assure that all residents are aware of events and evolving issues at our marina, the marina committe
publishes a newsletter that is distributed quarterly to slip holders. The current issue of Marina News will be available on-line to all ALHA residents. Past issues can be located in the Archives.
